Material & construction

The Shinai SOUKAI is made from high-quality Taiwanese Keichiku bamboo and impresses with its stability, elasticity and consistent striking behaviour.

As a 39 Dobari Shinai, it has a handle diameter of 28 mm, with a handle length corresponding to that of a 38 Shinai. This means that the strong first knot is particularly close to the handle – a decisive advantage for balance.

The result: the centre of gravity is extremely close to the hands.

Balance & practicality

The close position of the hands allows the kensen to be lifted and guided with minimal effort.
This results in fast, controlled striking movements with high precision – ideal for dynamic kendo and clean technique.
