Material & workmanship

The bokken is made from the finest Japanese red oak (Aka Kashi) and measures approx. 101.5 cm.
The wood is unvarnished, allowing the fine, natural grain to come into its own both visually and haptically. Over time, the bokken develops a characteristic patina – each mark telling a piece of training history.

In the deluxe KENMINE version, the bokuto has a mune (ridge) on the back of the blade and a gently rounded handle end (hanmaru). These details underline the high-quality workmanship and ensure comfortable handling.

Shape & balance

The general shape of the bokken is hiramine with a flat blade back, and the handle end is designed as a tsukagashira (flat).
This classic geometry ensures excellent balance and a controlled, clean feel during training.

The bokken lies comfortably in the hand and is ideal for precise technical work.
